Don't miss this freebie...

I'm taking off for Vegas in the morning but I had to get this out before I go.

First up...

Remember the heads up I gave you about the Product Launch Formula? Well, I just learned that the 'relaunch' of this awesome product goes live at 2:00pm eastern U.S. time tomorrow (Thursday).

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Product Launch Formula is only going to be available for a max of 24 hours (Jeff is only selling 500 copies but I'm sure he'll add a handful more after he sees how fast sales go).

Again, even if the price tag is too hefty, simply join his mailing list
and you'll be amazed at how much USEFUL free information you'll receive by way of the case studies he shares.

Hit this link at 2PM EST tomorrow (Thursday, Nov 13):

If you've been following me throughout the year, you know there are two things that I obsess about:
  1. The importance (the absolute ESSENTIAL value) of building process maps to keep you on track with all of your web creation and internet marketing efforts.

  2. The limitless amount of great information published by Rich Schefren (especially his Internet Business Manifesto).

Well, I'm going to let you in on a little secret: the guy who taught me all about the importance of process maps is Rich Schefren.

Understand this: Rich didn't sketch out a bunch of maps and hand them over to me; he taught by example. I viewed what he was doing and was blown away by the common sense of it all.

I can't tell you how much process mapping has changed the way I do business. Everything is smoother...faster...and more profitable. Believe me, I can't imagine doing what I do online without the several maps I've created.

Here's the best part: Rich just released CashMaps today.

As you probably guessed, Rich and his team have created a series of maps and are selling them via his web site (a new set every month). All I can tell you is that I got the first month's maps (re: blog marketing strategy) and I've got a huge smile on my face (I never knew about Feedblitz until I saw it highlighted on these maps).

You can get the first month of CashMaps free. Trust me, you'd be a fool not to add these to your Internet arsenal.

Here's your link:

Update on the free magazine offer

Well, the number of you who have taken advantage of this offer of a free subscription to Website Magazine has risen to 269. Great. But what I find puzzling is that 1,256 of you have shown interest. That means only 21% have completed the form. How to explain?

Post a comment if you can shed some light, please. Otherwise, the offer is still open so head over to Website Magazine and make sure you request the PRINT version so you get a hard copy mailed to you every month.

That's all for tonight.

Cheers,

Mike Corso

Rich Schefren is doing it again...

If you've been following this blog, you know I'm a big fan of Rich Schefren and his Internet Business Manifesto.

When Rich released his Manifesto, it was like I was standing in a dark room, stumbling around in the inky blackness...and someone turned the light on.

THAT's how effective it was for me. So effective, in fact, that I reread it a few times a year when I feel like I need a kick in the pants.

When I read the Manifesto, I finally had a clue about why my business was struggling...and what I could do to not only fix it, but make it profitable beyond my wildest dreams.

And I wasn't the only one.

Tens of thousands of entrepreneurs downloaded the Manifesto and applied Rich's cutting edge principles to their business. And today, some of them are among the most wealthy marketers and business owners in the world (while I, by no means, put myself in that category, I'm quite pleased with the path on which Rich has put me).

Since the Manifesto, Rich has released a series of reports that rocked the Internet Marketing community to its very core with their shocking predictions and amazing insights.

And now, he's doing it all over again.

Rich has released a new report titled The Uncertainty Syndrome. And from all
indications, this one's going to blow the others away...

Inside, Rich gets down to the nitty gritty about what's holding you back from success and how you can easily overcome those constraints to build a wildly profitable web-based business.

I can tell you this much--if this newest report has even HALF of the powerful strategies, tactics, and techniques that his others have, then you MUST get a copy immediately.

And there's simply nothing to stop you--because, like the Manifesto, it's absolutely FREE.

Rich is known as the "guru to the gurus" because of his incredible ability to take mid-level marketers and turn them into household names (and multi-millionaires) VERY quickly...

And with this report, he'll help you crush the roadblocks that are keeping you from your dreams and finally achieve the wealth, freedom, and success you so rightly deserve.

This one's a no-brainer folks...don't miss out.

Let's talk about it Thursday on Cool Talk ;)

Cheers,

Mike

P.S. Don't miss out on your chance to get this monumental report--get your copy NOW...

How to get listed in Google super fast -- in just a click...

As mentioned previously, I've been invited to appear for 10 minutes every week on 'Stump Markus', Markus Allen's engaging talk show filled with scores of advanced marketing tips, tricks, and methods.

Well, during last week's broadcast, 10 minutes somehow turned into 30 and I could have spent the whole afternoon sharing ideas with this one-of-a-kind marketing whiz.

Here's a rundown of the topics we covered last week followed by a link to the recording and a list of sources mentioned during our talk:

  • Egg timers, Pickle jars, and the 4-hour workweek...
  • The easy way to prioritize your day to get more done...
  • How to get 3,500+ new visitors to your site within 24 hours...
  • Share, bookmark and e-mail web pages quickly without leaving your browser...
  • The dangers of "Digg"ing your own web pages...
  • How to get listed in Google super fast -- in just a click...
  • Pricing your products and services the right way...
  • Why Amish retailers end their prices with the number 7...
  • The poor man's way to split test new prices.

Egg timers, pickle jars and the 4-day work week

(edited 5/28/08; added a section about Process Maps)
(edited 5/29/08; added two online mind mapping applications)

Struggling with time management? That ends today.

In this post, I'm going to share with you six things I use that are guaranteed to:

  • Increase how much work you get done
  • Increase the QUALITY of your work and business
  • Make your life less stressful
I have discussed the last three items previously but they're worth repeating; the first three are recent discoveries for me and are absolutely LIFE CHANGING.

FOUR DAY WORK WEEK

There's a great blog for webmasters and designers called A List Apart. I was introduced to the founder, Jeffrey Zeldman, several years ago and was immediately impressed with his passion for the Web. His style and blog are as strong as ever. The other day I was searching his site for articles on 'Project Management' and found this gem: The Four-Day Week Challenge. I'm already applying the principles learned.

THE PICKLE JAR THEORY

Also found on A List Apart is an article by Jeremy Wright entitled The Pickle Jar Theory. No charts, no grids, no five-syllable words, just a simple idea that can help you get more done with less stress.

NO B.S.

A must read book by the legendary Dan Kennedy; No B.S. Time Management for Entrepreneurs is one of those books you'll markup, go back to, and completely reread once or twice a year. No doubt, Rich Schefren got inspiration for his Attention Age Doctrine from this classic 'no b.s.' guide to getting things DONE.

PROCESS MAPS

I've become fanatical about building process maps for all my repetitive tasks and/or tasks that I need to delegate. I highly recommend getting a free trial of Mindjet software. Process maps are essential if you a) feel overwhelmed by your workload; and b) you find yourself repeating certain tasks on an irregular basis.

For collaborative online versions, check out bubbl.us and mindmeister.

Start mapping today
. You'll be hooked.

GETTING THINGS DONE

Speaking of getting things done, I can't say enough about this book by David Allen. I credit David with helping me to tame my e-mail inbox once and for all. See my 'takeaway' points here.

BOW TO THE EGG TIMER

Although I've blogged about Rich Schefren's 'super awesome must-read' Internet Business Manifesto in the past, I want to direct your attention to page 19 of that free e-book where he discusses the use of a 'kitchen timer' in order to engage in truly 'productive time'. Well, I call my kitchen timer an 'egg timer' and you can bet it's on right now. Download the Internet Business Manifesto immediately and go to page 19 before you waste another hour of your life.

That's it for today. Please add your comments below.

Mike

P.S.
Look for a post from me later in the week about 'Split Testing'. Every web site should be using it.

P.P.S
I'm happy to say that I've been asked to become a weekly contributor on StumpMarkus every Thursday at 12 noon EST. I strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of this free discussion hosted by a real marketing genius, Markus Allen.
By the way, Markus charges $297.00 for a 45-minute private brainstorming session, but I gotta tell you it's a better deal when you sign-up for his 30-day FREE trial and get access to his entire archive of business-building tips, strategies, and methods. Easily worth thousands of dollars to me.

Is it Friday?

Same old story: I aim to post something on Thursday and I'm either scrambling late Thursday night or, as in this case, by the end of the day on Friday. Good thing I have nothing to sell--you've heard it before: send your 'pitch' e-mails on Tuesday or Wednesday when people are more likely to read them.

Cool Site of the Day VIP

Anyway, I'm deep into creating a 'Cool Site of the Day VIP' program so I've only got time to share just a few nuggets with you today.

By the way, the 'Cool Site of the Day VIP' program will enable online business folk like yourself to not only submit a website for review but also opt-in for a pretty impressive monthly consulting/coaching package offered by yours truly. It won't be for everyone but for those who sign-up (and I'll only be able to offer it to less than 50 people), it promises to over-deliver (in other words, I'm going to bust my rear to make sure that NO ONE takes me up on my "100% money back" guarantee).

Search Engine Traffic

I take my hat off to all of you who have wisely chosen to open an account with Web Marketing Concepts. I've fielded a bunch of calls from you over the past several days and I look forward to helping as many of you as possible get the most out of this exceptional search engine marketing tool. And, oh yeah, I'll get to that WMC mindmap soon!

Speaking of mindmaps, if you read the The Internet Business Manifesto, you learned the importance of 'process mapping' all the important routine things that you do in your web business and even personal life. I'll be sharing many process maps with you in the future. The software that I use for mapping is MindJet. Play around with it--you'll be amazed at how well a good map can focus your thinking and ACTIONS.

Pretty Cool Tool

So I get an e-mail from Bill at the Web Marketing Association announcing their upcoming Awards. I see they're talking up a design firm that created the UPS Whiteboard. Can't be that cool or can it? I clicked around and discovered a very cool way to send a message to someone when you want that someone to REMEMBER YOU.

Here's what you do, go to UPS Whiteboard and select the little navigator thingy on the bottom right. Then select 'Break Room'. On the next screen, select 'Create Your Own Whiteboard'. Tell me that delivery system won't capture your intended recipient's attention. I sent a message to my wife but could easily see using it to communicate a simple 'thank you' or 'reminder' to a current or prospective client.

From My
Del.icio.us 'tool' TAGS:

  1. Web Page Speed Report
  2. Formspring (great for adding surveys and polls)
  3. Touchgraph (dangerously addictive)
  4. Adimpact (GREAT way to get people to do things on your site)

Have a great weekend!

Mike

Survey Results + 2 Great Tips

Thanks to everyone for completing the survey that I posted last week (“Just One Question”). And welcome to all the new members on this list—we’re up to 3,019 and climbing fast!

The results of the survey are clear; I asked you to tell me what you would like to learn first and the most popular category was “Getting Search Engine Traffic” (selected by 71% of you). A close second was “A Complete Step-by-Step Guide to Building Profitable Web Sites” (selected by 63%). Going down the list, I see “Finding Keywords” at 31%, “Being More Productive Overall” at 30%, “Choosing Affiliate Networks” at 28%, and “Choosing Products to Market” at 28%.

This is great news because the system that I’m going to reveal on March 11th is focused on doing ONE thing: Getting Search Engine Traffic. When you get your hands on this tool you’re going to feel a little sorry for the rest of the webmaster universe (I’ve been testing it out for weeks and I still have feelings of guilt).

Anyway, remember March 11th—that’s the day everything changes for you.

Now, as for “A Complete Step-by-Step Guide to Building Profitable Web Sites”, the timing couldn’t be better; I’ve scheduled my next message to cover the industry’s absolute best “out-of-the-box” web building and traffic generating package. That’s coming this Thursday.

As for today, I’ve got two things to share with you: a book and a Windows productivity tool. Both have transformed my life in numerous ways.

First the book; it’s David Allen’s Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity.

The book is only $9 at Amazon and is a must read for anyone (like I was) who feels overwhelmed by all the information being thrown at them today. I will summarize my biggest takeaway from this excellent book; when reviewing your pile of e-mail or things to read or whatever, categorize each piece as follows:

1. If you can deal with it in 2 minutes or less, do it (thereby you get rid of it)

2. If it relates to information that could be useful in the future, file it under ‘Reference’ (I now have an e-mail folder that contains all sorts of documents that I MAY refer to in the future….but NOT NOW)

3. If it’s a business idea or proposal but it’s not ESSENTIAL to your high priority, focused task(s) file it under ‘Someday’ (just like my ‘Reference’ folder, my ‘Someday’ folder is a storage tank for things I MAY consider in the future but NOT NOW).

4. If it’s related to a task that will take more than 2 minutes, then place it in your ‘Action’ folder and/or delegate the task to someone else. This is the folder that you will check at least once a week and it’s the most critical folder for your short-term success.

That’s just a snippet from this extraordinary book by David Allen. I don’t care what you do with your life (personal or business), this book will help you to breathe, think, and act in ways you’ve never been able to do so previously. Find it here.

As for the Windows productivity tool, all I can say is that I’m shocked this little gem isn’t on every Windows computer in existence. It’s called Activewords and it enables you to assign one or two keystrokes to a task that would otherwise take several keystrokes. That is a gross simplification but, trust me, you must get Activewords and see for yourself how unbelievably powerful it is. There’s no need to search for files or websites any longer, just assign a keystroke or word to those files or sites that you repeatedly use and Activewords will bring it to you. No searching, no frustration. Activewords is currently available as a fully loaded 60-day free trial. Get it now, you’ll thank them later. Don't wait on this one, click here.

That’s all for today. Look out for my post on Thursday. You're in for a treat.

Regards,

Mike Corso
