First, thanks to everyone who responded so positively to my previous post. The conversion rate on our mailing list signup page was a whopping 89%!

First, a few things you need to understand about me and the reason for this blog. As many know, I've been active online for over 20 years (yes, when Compuserve and AOL were king and no one even heard of the Web). For the past 10 years I've owned and operated Cool Site of the Day.

Now, when you run a site like Cool Site of the Day you get to see A LOT of cool stuff on the Web and you get introduced to many fascinating people. Many of those people just happen to be making a fortune on the Internet and, after a while, you pick up a few things and find yourself making money in ways you never anticipated.

Let me explain...

You see, when I bought Cool Site of the Day (with the aid of my local bank) I thought I was going to put banners on the site and make a pretty penny. Well, it didn't quite go down like that; instead, I had to figure out other ways to make money online and that led to a lot of studying and many conversations with some very
smart people in the industry.

To make a long story short, one of the areas I started to study and focus on was Affiliate Marketing. It was primarily through Affiliate Marketing that I was able to generate over $800,000 in revenue last year. Now, I'm no genius and I know that folks half as smart as me are making 2, 3 and 4 times as much as I am. I'm not going to tell you that anyone can hit it big online but I will tell you that with ambition and persistence AND a guiding hand you, too, can make a very comfortable living running a simple Web site.

Here's the good news....

I'm here to be your guiding hand. After years of some big successes (and many failures--more on why failing is a good thing, later) I've come to the conclusion that the only real way for me to be fulfilled is to share everything I've learned with a select community of people. People, like you, who want to succeed online
but who feel overwhelmed by the many opportunities (not to mention 'gurus') out there.

To start this off on the right foot, I (at the urging of my friends and colleagues) sat down and wrote pages and pages of notes of exactly what I would share with you. Well, after 10 pages of a serious brain dump I came up with over 50 topics that I could cover rather comprehensively (each filled with numerous tips and tricks
that I've used over the years to win big at the Affiliate Marketing and e-commerce game).

What I've decided to do is pick one or two topics each week and share with you all of my knowledge, tips and secrets related to that topic. To be sure that you don't miss a thing, join my mailing list.

As I've said in the past, my goal is to give you something that will provide a benefit for the rest of your life--a fast start to online success with no time wasted.

That's all now (I'm quite exhausted just thinking of all the things we are going to share over the next year). Expect the first of many mini brain dumps in your mailbox next week.
